How to Install an EDGE Overland Awning or Shower Awning on a Car

In this video, we show you exactly how to install any EDGE Overland awning or shower awning on your vehicle, step by step. Whether you're working with a roof rack or roof bars, the process is simple and straightforward - and it applies to our entire awning range, including the Infinity 270 Awning, Shelter Max Awning, and Quick Cover Shower Awning. We walk you through what’s inside the box, explain the difference between the older and newer L-bracket systems, and show you how to adjust everything to fit your specific setup.

We use the Shelter Max awning as an example in this video, but the installation method is the same for all EDGE awnings. You’ll see how to position and mount the base brackets, adjust the height and distance, and secure the awning in place using the included hardware. We also share tips from our own experience - like how to line everything up easily and make sure your awning opens and functions exactly as it should. Whether you're doing this on your own or getting a hand from a friend, we’ve made sure this process is accessible to everyone.

Our goal is to make it easy for you to do this at home, with just basic tools and minimal effort. The whole install takes about 15-20 minutes, and once it's done, you're ready to hit the road or set up camp with confidence. If you have any questions, we’re always here to help - just reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to guide you further!
