The Explore Pole Riser is a simple add-on made for our Explore rooftop tents. Its role is clear. It raises the mounting point of the rainfly poles. This small change solves a common setup problem many users face when running side-mounted gear.

If you run an awning, other mounting brackets, or storage along the side of your vehicle, you may have seen this issue before. The original pole socket can become hard to reach. In some cases, it can be fully blocked. This makes spreading the rainfly hard or even impossible without removing other gear. Or would require bending the poles, which isn't a recommended solution as it can potentially break the pole on the long run. The Explore Pole Riser fixes this by lifting the pole socket to a higher position, where access stays clear.
Many overlanding builds grow over time. You add a rooftop tent first. Later, you add a side awning. Then you add brackets, lights, or recovery gear. Each upgrade adds comfort, but it can also create small conflicts. One common example is a side-mounted awning installed close to the tent. When you open the Explore rooftop tent, the rainfly poles need space. If an awning sits in that space, the pole cannot drop into its socket. Setup becomes frustrating, especially in bad weather or low light. The Explore Pole Riser solves this problem in a direct way. It moves the pole socket up. This gives the pole a clear path, even when other equipment sits below it.
The riser reuses the original pole socket mounts from the rooftop tent. These sockets are removed from their original position and installed onto the riser. This keeps the system familiar and maintains the overall strength of the setup. The pole fits the same way it always has, just at a higher point.
Installation is simple and fast. No drilling is required. No permanent changes are made to the tent shell. The riser mounts in place of the original socket position. The original socket hardware is reused and the bracket uses the T rails from the tent. Full mounting instructions are included with the product. Most users complete the install in just a few minutes. Once installed, the riser can stay on the tent at all times. There is no need to remove it between trips or change it back when not using an awning.
The Explore Pole Riser is made from stainless steel. This material resists rust and handles long-term exposure to weather, dust, and road grime. The riser is finished with a matte black powder coat. This finish matches the look of the Explore One rooftop tent. It blends in cleanly and does not draw attention. The coating also adds extra protection. It helps prevent surface wear and keeps the part performing optimally even after many trips.
The perfect accessory for those cold nights out or winter camping in your Explore One Rooftop Tent, creating an extra layer of thermal insulation for maximum comfort.
